Mark Thomas Fleming

Mark Thomas Fleming, 55, of Seven Lakes West, passed Tuesday, February 23, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital. A visitation will be held Thursday, February 25, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at Boles Funeral Home in Seven Lakes. A short service, with the Rev. Won Namkoong officiating, will follow the calling hours at 7:30 pm. Burial will be private at a later date.

    Mr. Fleming was born in Rockville Center, N.Y. to the late James Fleming and Anne Collins Fleming. He grew up on Long Island, N.Y. He and his wife moved to the Seven Lakes West area in 1988 and Mr. Fleming started a home improvement company called “Hit The Mark Home Improvement.” He also worked at the Track Restaurant in Pinehurst and became well-known for making the best blueberry pancakes in town. He was an avid gardener and a loving husband, father, and friend.

    He is survived by his wife of twenty-two years, Mary Lou Fleming; a daughter, Colleen Fleming, of Seven Lakes; his father- and mother-in-law, Fred and Dorothy Seufert, of Seven Lakes West; four brothers, John Fleming and wife, Marilyn, of New York, Matthew Fleming and wife, Carole, of Nevada, Christopher Fleming and wife, Laura, of Georgia, Colin Fleming and wife, Linda, of New York; a sister, Maureen Fleming, of New York; lifelong friends, Kevin Dale, of Pinehurst, and Brian Neuberger, of New York; and many nieces and nephews.
