Robert ‘Bob’ Herge

Robert ‘Bob’ Herge, 71, of Seven Lakes West, passed away at home on Monday, February 15, surrounded by his loving wife and daughters. He was taken quickly by terminal cancer which he battled with amazing will and a sense of humor. A memorial service will be held at Boles Funeral Home in Seven Lakes on Saturday, February 27, at 2:00pm with a reception to follow. A gathering to celebrate his life will be held in Ohio at a later date.

    Mr. Herge was born in Malinta, Ohio, to the late Robert and Norma Herge. He attended Bowling Green University and graduated from Indiana Tech in 1961. He married Lorraine Link in June 1981, and was employed as an engineer with IBM for thirty-eight years. 

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Norma Herge, his brother Richard Herge, and twin grandchildren, Nico and Val Sebastiano.

    Mr. Herge is survived by his devoted wife of nearly thirty years, Lorraine; daughter, Lori Coseo and her husband, William, and their children Wylie and Bennett; daughter, Lisa Sebastiano and her husband, Art, and their children Dante and Viviana. He is also survived by his loving extended family including stepsons, Jeffrey Link and James Link, and a stepdaughter, Linda Leskovic, and their combined nine children. He also leaves many uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces, as well as grandnephews and grandnieces.

    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society, 8300 Health Park Ste. 10 Raleigh, NC 27615 or the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation 1359 Broadway Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018.

    Boles Funeral Home of Seven Lakes is assisting the family.
